WesterNet: FTP & Browser Updates : How to Do It Steps 1 - 10 are a method of transferring files very quickly called FTP. When new browsers or other interesting things come out, they will be installed here for your convenience. You will find this much faster than downloading off the Internet. That will put it in the "Save In..." box. 8. Next click . 9. Wait until your download is finished. 10. Close your browser. You should be at the Desktop. 11. Click to . 12. Type c:\temp\cc32d479 and . 13. The Installation Wizard will take over. Take the default answers, except at the page with three boxes. Uncheck everything but "Make Netscape my Internet Default Browser". 14. When you are done, it will prompt you to reboot. Do so. 15. If new icons for "AOL Instant Messenger" and "Real G2" are on your Desktop, you may delete them by right-clicking on them. 16. Now would be a good time to clean up your "Temp" folder. Use "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" to open the "Temp" folder. Right-click on old items to delete them. Netscape files will start with cc32... When you are done, click on your Trash icon, click on "file" and "Empty..." Your hard drive will thank you!
